Choosing to sell your veterinary practice is an important decision.

Let’s start with things that won’t change: your team, your clients and patients, and your people and culture. We don’t change your practice name, or who you are culturally. Your practice is successful today because of these things; we don’t want to change that. What will change is your employees will all have ownership, we will work to improve the efficiency of the practice using our “solar system model,” and together, we will be tackling burnout head on.

By joining Galaxy Vets, you become part of our entire veterinary healthcare system. We bring together collections of practices to form “solar systems” and utilize their combined power to increase capacity, reduce burnout, and implement value creation plans.
Each solar system will be grown to include general practice, emergency, surgery, tele-triage, and a lab to be equipped to care for patients when, where, and how they need you.

Ideally, 3-5 years. This helps your staff with the transition to Galaxy Vets and allows us to partner with you to grow the business. If you have other plans, let us know. We want to find the right path for each owner.

Your staff will remain the same (or increased). We understand this can be overwhelming for your team, so we develop a personalized communication plan with you that includes information about Galaxy Vets to share with them. We want your team to know that joining Galaxy Vets will be a positive change for them as they will become owners in the company through our Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).

We have an internal team that will take the lead on hiring. We want you to be involved (if you want to!) because you know your practice and team the best, and we want to ensure we hire the right people.

No. Your hospital name and branding won’t change. Your clients know and love your practice as it is today, and we have no desire to change that.

You do! Galaxy Vets allows everyone in the practice to become an equity shareholder of the entire company through our ESOP. We were founded and funded by veterinarians, and intend to keep the control of the company in the hands of the people doing the work.

We primarily focus on small animal general practices of all sizes, but we would be happy to chat with you if you own an emergency hospital as well.
